The Harmonised Australian Retailer Produce Scheme has been available for ALDI, Coles, Costco, Metcash/IGA and Woolworths direct suppliers of whole fruit, whole vegetables and nut-in-shell since last October 2016, with over 230 suppliers already certified.
HARPS is managed by a Stakeholder Working Group (SWG) comprising representatives of all the retailers and a project team. The SWG considers that it is now time to broaden the input into the development of HARPS and is calling for nominations for the HARPS Technical Advisory Group (H-TAG). Members of H-TAG will provide technical expertise and advice to the SWG, addressing priority issues, including Version 2 of the HARPS standard.
